Arelis two main modes for finding link partners, by keyword's and by sites that link to your competitors. A third option allows you to find sites that already link to you.Using the keyword's mode you enter the keyword or phrase you want to search on. Then select as many as you want of a long list of search engine's, both global and country specific on which to search for sites. You can also filter the search engine's to show only major ones or just country specific. The next stage is to assign a status to the site found from a drop down list, like waiting for review, or you can add one of your own. Then you select a category to assign the site to as it would appear in your links directory and you can add your own. You can also add a sub category. You can create filters to exclude sites and set how many sites you want it to find at one time. You can also collect email contacts and link text and descriptions from the sites ARELIS will visit in order to use in creating your link directory. Now ARELIS is set to go off and find sites and within a short time a list of sites fill the upper 14% of the screen area. By clicking on the displayed URL the site is shown in the internal viewer that occupies a well-proportioned 42% of the screen area. This makes the usable screen area 40% bigger than in Zeus. Drop down boxes allow you to change the assigned category or sub category for each site found and by clicking on a tick box whether to include it in the link directory. The details collected about each site like link text and description can be easily viewed and edited and personal notes can be added to the records for each site.
Emails can be selected from ready-made templates, or you can create you own email templates. Create your own templates to improve response rates A macro feature allows you to place inserts into the emails that can include a wide range of things. Examples are recipient's first name, last name, site url, proposed link text and description of your link to them and theirs to you, plus a whole variety of other useful inserts. These inserts are automatically placed into each email specific to the records held on each site. Emails can be sent directly from within the program and the status of progress is automatically updated from the link request not yet sent to waiting for answer. Various other status messages enable you to progress and track the status of each and every link request email sent. Personalized changes can be made to each email and a complete history of each mail sent complete with a full text copy can be easily recalled and viewed. Link pages can be created from standard supplied templates or it's a simple process to create your own to match the look of your site. Sites that agree to reciprocal linking can be checked off within the program as having linked back and there's even a facility to automatically check and verify the link exists on the other site. Web sites found can also be sorted and filtered to a large range of different criteria to show only the ones you want to see.
Reciprocal Linking - ARELIS beats Zeus - Conclusions It should come as no surprise from this title that ARELIS is the clear winner over Zeus in the battle to automate the reciprocal linking process.Putting aside the program instability problems experienced with Zeus and the inbuilt advertising insertion, it just does not have the look and feel of the well-designed user interface of ARELIS. In ARELIS v Zeus, Arelis is also easier to learn and by my experience has much greater functionality than Zeus. The overall impression of Zeus coupled with the problems experienced led to discontinuing its evaluation. Zeus is NOT a reciprocal linking program I could recommend. In this evaluation ARELIS was the clear winner over Zeus and I have no hesitation in continuing to use it or to recommend it to any other web site designer or web site owner who wants to gain reciprocal links.
