Search Engine Position Analysis
- A Review of Web Position Gold 2 - Conclusions

Search engine position analysis - Review of Web Position Gold 2 & the SEO advice it gives.

The 1st part of this article is:
Search engine positioning tool - search engine ranks using Web Position Gold 2

Excluding prominence elements in this search engine position analysis, there were 7 non-compliance's on search engine ranks No.1, 3 for No.6, 8 for No.18 and 4 on the No.30.

In Part 1's search engine position analysis, an under suggested word count in the Title, wasn't highlighted on search results 6 or 30.

Neither was a missing keyword phrase in the Headers of No.18 and 30. Also not highlighted was missing keyword's in Link URL's and Alt tags.

One must assume that if attention is not drawn to these areas that Web Position Gold doesn't see them as significant in the seo optimization of a page. Some internet optimizers would take issue with this assumption.

The keyword count for the Body text was suggested as 1 - 5 with a body word count of 436 - 629. This equates to an implied keyword density range from 0.16% to 1.15%.

Similarly for the whole content a keyword count of 3 - 9 was suggested with a whole word count of 505 - 795 and that gives an implied keyword density of 0.38% to 1.78%.

Whilst these figures are based on WPG's positioning suggestions from the averages of top pages in the search engine ranks, most keyword density optimizers would consider them to be somewhat on the low side.

It's not directly possible from the search engine position analysis produced by Web Position Gold 2 on these search engine ranks, for the keyword phrase " search engine positioning, " to be able to explain why these pages hold the search engine ranks they do.

The No.1 search engine rank has more non-compliance elements than either No.6 or No.30 but clearly it does not stop its positioning as No.1.

As Web Position Gold 2 points out there can be a number of other reasons to explain why a page holds a search engine rank, among them link popularity & relevancy as well as IP cloaking.

IP cloaking is where a page returned by the SE spider for its search engine ranks to be determined, is different to the one presented to the visitors browser.

Search engine position analysis using Web Position Gold 2 -
Summary & Final Conclusions

Web Position Gold 2 includes a number of features that set it apart from many other search engine position analysis and seo optimization tools.

However, the page generator and the upload manager are less likely to be used by an established web designer. The Traffic analyzer is also not an inbuilt feature but a service for which you pay a monthly fee.

The core features are the Reporter ( check search engine ranks ), the Submitter ( search engine submissions ) and the Page Critic ( analysis & optimization ), with the focus of this article being the latter.

Web Position Gold 2 was used to analyze 4 pages with a positioning in the top 30 for a highly optimized keyword phrase. It produced extensive search engine position analysis and some good seo optimization suggestions.

With the exception of not highlighting the absence of the phrase in the Headers, Alt tags, the Link URL's and suggesting a keyword density considered by many optimizers to be to low, Web Position Gold 2 provided good seo optimization advice.

It is NOT possible to explain from the Web Position Gold 2 results why the four pages analyzed hold the search engine rank they do.

Web Position Gold 2 like all the analyzer, optimization & positioning tools looked at in other articles on this site, does not provide the complete picture, or offer the full range of search engine position analysis tools needed to analyze and optimize a web page.

It's a good SEO tool and one that will stay in my toolkit, but it's not the only search engine position analysis tool you'll need.
